Book Review: Sisterchicks in Gondolas by Robin Jones Gunn

What a great read!  I recently completed the book Sisterchicks in Gondolas by Robin Jones Gunn and I am so happy to say I LOVED THIS BOOK!!

This book shares the adventure that Jenna and Sue, the two main characters embark upon as they spend a week in Venice, Italy cooking and serving a group of ministry leaders gathered for a conference.  As they cook, serve and explore the city, they also embark on a spiritual journey individually that opens up places in their hearts and lives to allow God to minister to them and others.  While the book had spiritual depth, it wasn’t too heavy but a great story to read.  The sisterchicks hit a place that is real that women (and people) can relate to.  Both Jenna and Sue each had their own insecurities, hang ups, and baggage, but they learned through several situations how God can use us even when we feel ill-equipped and unusable.  I can’t say again  how much I loved this book and recommend it highly.

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
